Ghoom : Situated at the height of around 2,400 m from the sea level Ghoom is also known as "Yogachoeling Gompa". It has an image of "Maiterya Budha". The place is often covered with mist and is famous for monasteries like Samdenchoeling Gompa, Sakyachoeling Gompa and Phin Sotholing Gompa.

Tiger Hill : Tiger hill is situated at the altitude of 2590 m or 8,482 ft above sea level is at a distance of about 13 km from the main town. It offers a splendid view of sunset and sunrise which is a spell bound experience for a visitor. On a clear sunny day one can even get a magnificent view of Mount Everest which makes you feel as if you have reached the heaven.

Tea Gardens : Darjeeling is a producer of world's best aromatic teas is known for its flourishing tea gardens. A walk around the tea garden mesmerizes the visitors with its lush greenery, aroma of tea plants and tranquility. Now tourists are encouraged to stay in tea garden bungalows equipped with all amenities during which they can enjoy serene atmosphere of tea garden and can also see the tea manufacturing process.

Observatory Hill : Observatory Hill is said to be the oldest site in Darjeeling is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus. It has a famous shrine dedicated to goddess Kali and is surrounded with Multi colored flags.

Chowrasta : Chowrasta means where four roads meet is considered as the nucleus of commercial activities. It is full of shops and vendors selling wide variety of local handicrafts, brass statue, woolen garments etc. A walk along the Mall Road opens a beautiful view of the surrounding hills.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park : Established in 1958 Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is situated at an elevation of 2133.5 m is a perfect place for nature lovers who want to explore wild life. This zoological park is internationally recognized because of conservation of Snow Leopard and Red panda. Besides this Siberian Tiger, Tibetan Wolf, Red Panda and numerous birds are among its major attractions.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and Museums : Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) is the landmark in Darjeeling and an important tourist attraction. Situated in the outskirts of Darjeeling around 2 km from the main town is established in 1954.The institute offer different courses in mountaineering. The museum situated in the premises of institute is another attraction to the people interested in mountaineering.

Lloyd Botanical Garden : This botanical garden has a wide collection of Himalayan Flora and fauna. It is a must visit place for natural lovers and researchers. It has a "Hat house" which one can love to visit.

The Toy Train : For rail enthusiasts, Darjeeling is better known for its "Toy Train." This famous narrow gauge steam toy train offers an opportunity to explore the majestic beauty of Himalayas throughout the long journey of 6 to 7 hours covering a mere distance of 82 km.
